The third session of the Al-Hikmah Series turned to the Hijrah, the migration of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions to Madinah, and the building of the first Muslim community there.

After recitation and na’at, Qari Safar, a former imam of Masjid Quba in Madinah, opened the evening. Following ‘Isha, Shaykh Dr. Abdullah al-Qadri, introduced by Brother Ali Malik, looked at the Hijrah as a study in strategy, sacrifice and leadership, and at how faith and unity built a community from nothing.

The speakers reminded us that the spirit of Hijrah lives on through service, character and standing together. The session was held in collaboration with Madina Institute. Thank you to the youth, volunteers and organizers who brought their hearts to the gathering.
